About

giorgio convertito, born in Italy, holds a BA in dance and choreography, from the SNDO, a department of the Amsterdam Theaterschool. He has worked since 1993 as a dancer and a choreographer. Improvisation/Instant Composition is the main interest and influence in his work both as a dancer and a choreographer and it has been part of many of the projects he’s been involved, making him one of the leading figure in the Helsinki improvisation scene.Since January 2006 he’s the organizer and curator of The Helsinki Meeting Point, a dance and music improvisation club held monthly at Kokoteatteri in Helsinki.

    good to read about your process, Giorgio!
    As we navigate in our little boats we can begin noticing we are moving in the same sea, a little pleasant feed back in our lonely navigation route!
    and what if by looking at the same water the boat would disappear? what if the shift of focus from boat to sea will do the trick? realizing diversity is only possible when imagined by the ONE, becoming aware of the dream, still dreaming as being dreamed…
    That makes distance disappear as we become connected through the water under, and there we are swimming side to side for a little time again!
